Antenatal and post-natal clinics attended by specialists and resident doctors are held daily. More than 36 000 patients consult per year.

The clinics are modern and well equipped with ultrasound scanning and full laboratory back up.

Few mothers receive regular health care during pregnancy and over 40% are seen for the first time when they walk into the hospital in labor.

To address this problem an outpatient educational program has been introduced. These courses embrace education and training for childbirth, hygiene, nutrition and childcare.
